Projects SLS 2.0 The Swiss Light Source will be upgraded with a new magnet lattice to a diffraction-limited storage ring, yielding an emittance and brightness improved by up to two orders of magnitude. The upgrade SLS2.0 is planned for implementation in 2023/2024, and a return to regular user operation in 2025. CHART CHART (Swiss Accelerator Research and Technology) was founded in 2016 as an umbrella collaboration for accelerator research and technology activities. Present partners in CHART are CERN, PSI, EPFL, ETH-Zurich and the University of Geneva.
