The Crystallization of Materials and Spectroscopy Project, led by Vitaly Sushkevich, was started in 2021. The project focuses on understanding of the mechanism of the formation of materials in the course of their synthesis. This is achieved by the continuous development and application of novel in situ characterization tools. Identification of the synthesis mechanisms will provide new possibilities for the designed synthesis of zeolites and MOFs with targeted adsorption and catalytic properties and, therefore, for the development of highly-efficient adsorbents and catalysts for a wide range of processes for the gas and oil industry as well as organic and fine chemical syntheses.
