The experimental station at PEARL consists of three parts:
an angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy station connected to the beam line,
a low-temperature scanning tunneling station,
and a surface preparation system.
All three parts are connected by a sample transfer system that operates under ultra-high vacuum.

The figure shows a conceptual rendering of the experimental station. The actual setup may differ due to on-going development and research projects. For a detailed description and scientific examples, please refer to our beamline publication (open access).
Forthcoming users, please take note of the special sample holder design.
