Our wish is to make your stay at PSI as safe as possible. Nevertheless it is your responsibility to follow the general safety instructions to protect yourself and others. You will find all necessary regulations and instructions there.
Training course
Please complete the safety training course either online or at the latest upon arrival at PSI. Badges and dosimeter will only be issued after performing this course.

After the test
Proton exposed devices must be controlled by PSI Safety Officer (SU) after completion of the test. No items can be removed outside the radiation zone without control. Health Physicists are available during normal working hours from Monday to Friday (8:00 to 17:00).
Special CoVid-19 rules
- From 1 May 2021 on all external users of the PSI facilities SLS, SwissFEL, SINQ, SmuS and CHRISP must
present a certificate of a negative PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 according to Swiss BAG rules for air travel
(i.e. currently with the date of the result being not older than 72 hrs when arriving at PSI, NO self-testing).
'External' means: both not being affiliated to PSI and without a long-term or permanent PSI access badge. - Further information and details
