Beside the ordinary proposal submission described above it is also possible to ask for urgent beamtime or director's discretion time. On each SINQ instrument a certain share of urgent beamtime is reserved.
This option should only be used in case of very urgent projects, restricted lifetime of important samples, necessary completion of a PhD thesis etc.
For the request of urgent beamtime please send an informal letter/email with the relevant information about the project, the sample, the requested instrument and number of necessary days throughout all the year to one of the contacts listed below:
