Current Responsibilities
Romain Sacchi joined the Technology Assessment Group at the Paul Scherrer Institute in June 2019 as a PostDoctoral Researcher, to contribute within the field of life cycle assessment applied to future mobility technologies. More specifically, Romain investigates the prerequisites, opportunities and challenges related to the electrification of mobility in general, considering all the environmentally-relevant phases along the life cycle of transportation services.
Education and previous activities
Romain completed his Master degree in Environmental Sciences in 2012 at Aalborg University, followed by an Industrial Ph.D. from the same institution in 2018 on the topic of Industrial Ecology. Strong of six years of professional experience in industrial R&D in between, Romain also helped the cement and wind turbine sectors with the development of sustainable strategies.
