Beamline Optics Group

The Optics Group belongs to the SLS support groups and is involved in several beamlines. Our fields of expertise and activities are:

• beamline design
• generic R & D on synchrotron radiation instrumentation
• optical metrology - we operate the Metrology Laboratory to measure the properties and quality of X-ray optics
• we operate the Optics Test Beamline at the bending magnet X05DA for instrumentation R & D, in-house research and training purposes
