On April 6-9, 2021, the particle physics and material science communities held a common workshop to discuss and further develop the science case for new High Intensity Muon Beams (HIMB) at PSI. Over summer the input has been refined and recently published as a community paper on arXiv. Meanwhile, HIMB joined forces with TATTOOS and PSI is putting forward the project IMPACT (Isotopes and Muon Production using Advanced Cyclotron and Target technologies) aiming at a realization in the period 2025-28.
