The Mu3e Collaboration aims to be welcoming to people from all backgrounds and experiences, and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. We expect Mu3e collaborators to treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, inclusive, and professional environment. Fostering a supportive environment to enable scientific discourse is the responsibility of all members, and we have a set of guidelines for behaviour.
Treat everyone with respect. Work together openly and constructively, and conduct ourselves in a professional manner. Disagreements are natural, and should be handled professionally. Avoid any inappropriate actions or statements based on individual characteristics such as age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, religion, nationality, political affiliation, ability status or educational background. Harassing behaviour of any kind is considered unacceptable. Harassment includes but is not limited to inappropriate or intimidating behaviour and language, unwelcome jokes or comments, unwanted touching or attention, offensive images, photography without permission, and stalking.
Violations of this code of conduct policy should be reported to the Contact People, your group leader, or directly to the spokespeople. If you observe inappropriate comments or actions and personal intervention seems appropriate and safe, you should be considerate of all parties before intervening.
