Umbrella MoU Signed by 14 Parties

The Memorandum of Understanding of the Umbrella Collaboration was signed by 14 parties: ALBA, DESY, Diamond Light Source Ltd, Elettra, EMBL Heidelberg, ESRF, European XFEL, HZB, ILL, Instruct Academic Services Ltd, KIT, PSI, STFC and SOLEIL. Umbrella is the pan-European federated identity management system for the users of the large-scale European photon and neutron facilities. This IT platform offers for the first time an EU-wide, unique and persistent ID for a wide, multidisciplinary user community. It was initiated by the IRUVX-PP project and further developed with the support of several EU projects such as PaNdata and CRISP.
