The PSI user office holds a pool of bicycles (and helmets) for users of the PSI facilities. If you wish to borrow a bike (no costs, just a deposit of CHF 50,- / EUR 50,-) please contact the user office by phone (+41-56-310-4666) or   email. Please note that the maximum duration for renting a bicycle is 2 weeks.

The PSI Sportclub offers several sports activities. In particular gym access in building OSCB - next to the OASE restaurant - is offered for free for the residents of the PSI Guest House.

Office space for short term users is available in the PSI Area West and is equipped with WiFi access (corp, guest and eduroam networks).
 
A printer/copy machine is located on the same floor.
The workplaces can be used free of charge against a small deposit (CHF 50,- / EUR 50,-).

At PSI two restaurants (OASE and Park Innovaare) as well as three cafeterias are at your disposal. Please take note of the opening hours, special announcements and offers.

 

Breakfast
Breakfast is available at the coffee bar in the restaurant Park Innovaare from 08:00 a.m.
 
Evening catering
From Monday to Friday dinner is served at the restaurant in Park Innovaare from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (last order). A light menu, salad and different specialities are offered. Please find details information here (in german only).
 
FELFEL
Part of the PSI catering concept is a cooperation with FELFEL, a Swiss catering service, that runs a 24/7 vending machine in Cafeteria Time-Out (PSI  West). It offers fresh meals that are locally produced from quick lunches to midday snacks. For the use of the self-checkout FELFEL fridge it is required to download the FELFEL App and to register once. Payment options include credit card and Twint.

Depending on the request it is intended to extend the offer to further locations on the PSI campus. Please download the FELFEL catalogue to get more information on the offer.

Payment
At the Restaurants and Cafeterias you can pay in cash (CHF and EUR) or by credit cards, V-pay, Maestro cards and the PSI access badge (exception: Park Innovaare restaurent: here you can only pay by credit card).
In addition there is the comfortable option to upload money to your PSI badge for payment in the PSI restaurant and cafeterias. For that purpose you can use the machines in both entrance areas of the PSI restaurant OASE (PSI East, cashless) as well as the Cafeteria Time-Out (PSI West, cash (CHF) only). The next ATM is located in Villigen.
Depending on the type of vending machine you may pay with  your loaded access badge or with your credit card directly.
 
Credit on badges may be converted to cash at the restaurants or cafeterias (only Monday to Friday)

PSI provides several WiFi (WLAN) networks accessible for users from abroad

  • eduroam: for our users with access to eduroam networks (non-PSI staff only)
  • guest: for our users without eduroam account (just choose the network "guest" and follow the instructions, SMS registration required)
    To connect to your VPN account, please also use the guest WiFi

For LAN access in your guestroom just follow the instruction on https://enter.psi.ch, a SMS registration is required.

Please note: the guest network is a restricted network and not all webpages will be accessible. For unlimited access, please connect to the guest network and open a VPN connection to your home institution. More information.
