ANAXAM ("Analytics with Neutrons And X-rays for Advanced Manufacturing") is a technology transfer center that specializes in applied materials analysis using neutron and synchrotron radiation—a focus that is clearly reflected in its name.
As a bridge between research and industry, ANAXAM’s primary role is to serve as a service provider for industrial clients, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). ANAXAM is supported by a consortium of partners, including the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), the Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI), and the Canton of Aargau. This public-private partnership model has been a key factor in its success. Over the past five years, ANAXAM has successfully completed more than 100 industrial projects, significantly driving innovation across industries such as automotive, medical technology, and energy.
