Last Friday, the annual PSI "Entrepreneurship Kick-off Event" took place at Park Innovaare– an inspiring afternoon dedicated to encouraging talented scientists at PSI to explore their entrepreneurial potential.
Over 40 PhD students, postdocs, and researchers attended the event to learn how they can transform their innovative ideas into sustainable and impactful ventures. PSI offers a wide range of supporting programs in the field of entrepreneurship to help them achieve this.
During the event, participants received valuable information about the following programs:
🔹 PSI Founder Fellowship (PSIFF): This program provides up to CHF 150,000 in funding to support future founders in developing their ideas into market-ready solutions based on PSI technologies and expertise. The PSIFF helps bridge the gap between a scientific career and the creation of a successful spin-off.
🔹 The Entrepreneurship Workshop Series (in collaboration with Venturelab and the HealthInnovationHub NG), as well as tailored individual support designed to guide researchers on their journey from the lab to the market.
After the sessions, participants had the opportunity to network during an Apéro with the current PSI Founder Fellows, the PSI Technology Transfer Team, and – new this year – venture capitalists who are committed to supporting the PSI Entrepreneurship Program.
With over 40 participants, the event was a great success! We look forward to continuing to support talented scientists with an entrepreneurial mindset this year and helping them further develop and implement groundbreaking business ideas.
