PSI strives to make the knowledge generated accessible and encourages its exploitation. There are three basic models conceivable in terms of cooperation with the Paul Scherrer Institute:
- Licensing and transfer of technologies and know-how
- Utilisation of research facilities and know-how as R&D services
- Implementation of either research cooperation projects or contract research projects
