The role of aerosols in the Coronavirus pandemic

It now seems certain that the coronavirus Sars-CoV-2 can also be transmitted via small airborne particles. In a video, PSI aerosol researcher Urs Baltensperger summarises what science knows about this route of infection so far. How are the particles, called aerosols, produced? How quickly can the virus be spread if you are in the same room with an infected person? What characterizes a superemitter?
