Public Tour: The Swiss Federal Interim Storage Facility

The use of radioactive materials in medicine, industry, and research generates what is known as MIF waste.

In accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance (StSV), the PSI, as the federal collection center for the Swiss Confederation, provides the service of interim storage for this MIF waste. Learn how the PSI ensures the interim storage of radioactive waste from medicine, industry, and research (MIF) under controlled conditions.

According to the access regulations, the tour is only open to participants over the age of 16.

The number of participants is limited.
