- Surface modification of Na cathode materials via gas phase-based process
- Cells manufacturing, electrodes and cycling pressure optimization
- Electrochemical testing of solid-state batteries (cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic cycling, EIS)
- Interface chemical and bulk structural operando characterization, XPS, XRD and XAS, XCT
- Publication of results in scientific journals and presentation in the framework of EU project meetings
- Supervision of students and support on the Lab equipment and infrastructure
Your profile
We are looking for a self-motivated team player able to work independently and with prior experience in electrochemistry and battery research. The candidate must have a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science or in a related field. A good background in battery materials characterization and electrochemical testing is expected. Experience in Na-based battery chemistry and polymer-based battery fabrication is an asset. Familiar with synchrotron techniques is a plus. Very good command of English is required.
The experimental work will be carried out at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, within the framework of EU project.
