Your tasks
- Lead research projects for the next generation solid-state batteries
- Methods development for physical and electrochemical characterization of battery materials
- Establish academic and industrial collaborations in projects focused on battery materials
- Publication of results in scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings
- Assistance to the group head in preparation and execution of research projects
- Supervision of PhD students and postdocs
- Assistance to the lab management, equipment, and infrastructure planning
Your profile
- We are looking for a self-motivated team player able to work independently with prior experience in electrochemistry and battery research
- The candidate must have a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science or in a related field
- A good experience in battery materials analytical methods - operando techniques is an advantage
- Successful funding acquisition (personal fellowships, research grants, collaborative projects, etc.)
- Background in synchrotron-based analytical methods is a plus
- Good publication track record
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good command of English and basic knowledge of German is required
