Your tasks
- Design and development of online mass separation for IMPACT/TATTOOS
- Design and set up laser resonance ionization for TATTOOS and the proposed PROMAS offline mass separator facility and participate in preparing Technical Design Reports
- Scientifically develop the optimum operation schemes of laser-induced resonance ionization for both facilities
- Acquisition of research funding
- Writing of scientific publications and reports
- Attending and presenting at international conferences
- A vital part of your duties will be networking and fostering collaboration to partner ISOL institutions, such as CERN-ISOLDE, INFN, SCK∙CEN and TRIUMF
Your profile
- PhD degree in atomic physics or another related field
- Experience in mass separation and laser-resonance ionization, as well as using the relevant simulation software
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary group
- Excellent written and oral English, knowledge of German is an advantage
