Your tasks
- Catalyst Characterization and Application: Conduct experiments to characterize catalytic materials and apply them in batch and flow systems, optimizing performance and understanding structure-activity relationships
- Process Design and Optimization: Design and set up lab and test-scale reactors, collaborating with engineers and technicians to improve efficiency and safety
- Pilot Plant Scaling: Translate lab-scale findings to pilot plant operations, developing SOPs and working with operators to ensure smooth scale-up
- Data and Safety Management: Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments
- Project Coordination: Plan and prioritize experiments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial parters, and provide regular progress updates to meet project goals
Your profile
- Engineer Univ/FH. in chemical engineering/process engineering, a PhD degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical engineering role in industrial or academic setting, with hands-on experience in the laboratory
- Technical Skills: Familiar with wet chemical processes, catalysis techniques, and analytical methods like GC-MS, HPLC, TGA, XRD, and IR. Experience with equipment design, setup, and optimization
- Experience managing multiple projects, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safety and compliance. Strong communication and attention to detail
- Experience in process scale-up from laboratory to pilot is considered a plus
- Fluent in the English language. German knowledge is a plus
