Your tasks
- Lead fundamental and applied research in rechargeable batteries with focus on aging mechanisms and processes, and battery safety
- Development of novel methods and methodologies for materials, electrode, electrolyte, and their interphase characterization
- Publishing research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presenting at national and international conferences
- Support group head in acquiring national and international funding and executing academic and industrial projects
- Supervision of Master and PhD students, as well as postdocs
- Planning, acquisition, deployment, and management of laboratory equipment and infrastructure
- Assist group head in safety related tasks
Your profile
- PhD degree in rechargeable batteries
- Post-PhD experience in lithium and sodium batteries and electrochemistry
- Experience in Online/Differential Electrochemical Mass Spectrometry (OEMS/DEMS)
- Familiarity with other operando characterization methods, including at large-scale facilities
- Excellent team player abilities and communication skills
- Experience in student supervision and collaborative research
- Excellent command in English and basic knowledge of German
