Your tasks
This role focuses on creating the next generation of molecular glues through in vitro biophysical techniques using C. elegans or cell models to investigate their potential for protein degradation. While experience with C. elegans and mammalian cell models in neurodegeneration research is highly desirable, training in X-ray techniques, cryo-EM, and other biophysical methods will be provided. The project is integral to collaborations with various institutions and companies, combining in vitro screening and characterization with C. elegans and mammalian cell models within our lab.
Your profile
- A Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Cell Biology, or a related field
- Experience in expressing and purifying amyloid proteins, including biochemical and biophysical characterization
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for addressing complex scientific challenges
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A passion for scientific research with a proactive approach to new challenges
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Actively contributes to a supportive and engaging lab environment by participating in meetings and events
- Preferably experienced with C. elegans and mammalian cell models for neurodegeneration studies
- Preferably experienced with X-ray, cryo-EM, or fluorescence methods for neurodegeneration studies
- Strong communication skills
- Dedicated and motivated postdoctoral fellow who contributes to our cutting-edge research on the development of novel molecular glues
