Postdoctoral Fellow

Your tasks

You will join our team to develop as smart data-acquisition framework in the context of high-speed time-resolved tomographic experiments. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with members of the X-ray tomography group and machine learning researchers from the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC Hub at PSI).

  • Develop novel data science approaches for smart data acquisition in synchrotron-based tomography experiments
  • Analyze, quantify and visualize time-resolved 3D datasets in HPC environments
  • Collaborate with different domain experts (physicists, computational scientists, software developers)
  • Present and publish research results in scientific articles, research presentations and at international conferences
  • Experimental validation of results at the X-ray imaging facilities at PSI

Your profile

  • PhD degree in Physics/Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, CS or similar
  • Solid programming skills (C/C++, Matlab, Python or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with data processing and analysis
  • You enjoy working in a multi-cultural and interdisciplinary team
  • Knowledge in the field of AI would be beneficial
